Select a piece of Helsinki and make a solid model of its measured buildings, rooftops and terrain. Everything is processed in your local workspace.
The preview and STL share the same closed mesh, sampled at approximately 0.45 mm. Roof shapes and courtyards are retained at that resolution. The solid surface fills tunnels, vertical overhangs and spaces beneath bridges; individual facade details are outside this version.
With Buildings on, enable Detailed buildings to include every verified detailed model in the selected area. Small map icons mark available models. These roofs and domes come from Helsinki’s 2024 photogrammetry mesh. Small features are simplified at the miniature’s approximately 0.45 mm surface-sampling pitch, and individual facade details cannot survive the heightfield.
The preview shows the exact printable geometry in one material color. Streets appear as raised lines and water as shallow recesses. The base title is embossed. STL stores geometry; choose the matching resin color when printing.
Enable Ground elevation to include the measured hills and contours. Use natural scale (1×) or emphasize the slopes up to 3×. The control shows the elevation change across the sampled area and its relief in millimeters. With elevation off, the ground is flat. Buildings and added objects retain their height above the surface, and the underside stays flat for printing.
Add street and park trees, lawns, flower beds, shrubs and public objects at their registered locations. Trees and street furniture use symbolic shapes and dimensions rather than surveyed 3D geometry. Small objects have a footprint of at least 0.9 mm and relief of at least 0.3 mm; crowns and overhangs form solid relief connected to the base.
Tree coverage is primarily public streets and parks. Register records can differ from the current scene. Unknown object types are omitted. The layer counts show features with visible relief at your selected scale.
